INFORMATION AND DELETION POLICIES FOR TELEMEDIA
. RISO (imprint) takes the protection of personal data very seriously. As a company under private law, we are subject to the provisions of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO). We have taken technical and organizational measures to ensure that the regulations on data protection are observed both by us and by external service providers. In the following, we would like to explain when which data is collected, stored and used when visiting our internet pages and using our online offers.

1. PERSONAL DATA
When you visit our Internet pages, each access to the server and each retrieval of files stored on the Internet pages is logged. In the process, so-called personal data is collected and stored until automated deletion. Personal data are individual details about your personal and factual circumstances that can be used to find out your identity. This includes, for example, information that relates directly to your person, such as your correct name, address, telephone number and date of birth. To be distinguished from personal data is information that is not directly related to your real identity and is usually collected merely for statistical purposes (e.g. the number of views or users of a particular page). This non-personal data is not the subject of this privacy policy.

2. COLLECTION AND USE OF PERSONAL DATA
Personal data is collected and used by us only to the extent necessary to enable the operation of our website and to provide the services offered by us (hereinafter also online offer).

Independently of whether you are registered as a user with us or not, each time you access our Internet pages, certain data is stored on our servers by default, which may allow your person to be identified (so-called usage and traffic data). This is in particular the following information:

  • the connection data of the requesting computer (so-called IP address);
  • the individual Internet pages that you have called;
  • the date, time and duration of your visit;
  • the message whether the access was successful;
  • the recognition data of the browser and operating system used;
  • the Internet page from which the access is made;
  • the name of your Internet access provider;

This data is used to enable the use of the Internet pages and to ensure the stability and operational security of our system. There is no personal exploitation of this data. However, the statistical evaluation of anonymized data records is reserved. In principle, this data is only stored for as long as is necessary and permissible within the framework of any contractual agreement concluded with you and in compliance with the applicable law.

If you wish to use our personalized online offer, you must register. As part of the registration process, we ask you for your name and other personal information (so-called inventory data). We need this data exclusively to process your request. It is your free decision whether you enter this data. Without the input, however, a registration and a use of the online offer are not possible.

3. TRANSMISSION OF PERSONAL DATA TO THIRD PARTIES
If you use our online offer, we use your personal data only at RISO as well as affiliated companies. We do not pass them on to third parties without your express consent. Only insofar as we are obliged to do so by law or by court order, we will transmit your data to bodies entitled to receive information. Should data be passed on to service providers as an exception in the context of order processing, these are bound by the BDSG, other legal regulations and contractually to RISO's privacy policy.

4. RIGHT OF REVOCATION AND DELETION OF PERSONAL DATA
If you have provided us with personal data, you can have it deleted at any time. If you have given us separate consent for the collection and use (including storage and disclosure, if applicable) of personal data, you may revoke this consent at any time with effect for the future.

The deletion of stored personal data takes place when you revoke your consent to storage, knowledge of the data is no longer necessary to fulfill the purpose pursued with the storage or the storage is inadmissible for other legal reasons.

Data for billing and accounting purposes are not affected by a cancellation or deletion.

8. LINKS TO OTHER INTERNET SITES
Our online offer contains links to other Internet sites. We have no influence on whether their operators comply with the data protection provisions.

9. DATA PROCESSING BY SOCIAL NETWORKS
We maintain publicly accessible profiles on social networks. The social networks used by us in detail can be found below.

Social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, etc. can generally analyze your user behavior extensively when you visit their website or a website with integrated social media content (e.g. Like buttons or advertising banners). By visiting our social media presences, numerous processing operations relevant to data protection are triggered. In detail:

If you are logged into your social media account and visit our social media presence, the operator of the social media portal can assign this visit to your user account. However, your personal data may also be collected under certain circumstances if you are not logged in or do not have an account with the respective social media portal. In this case, this data collection takes place, for example, via cookies that are stored on your terminal device or by recording your IP address.

With the help of the data collected in this way, the operators of the social media portals can create user profiles in which your preferences and interests are stored. In this way, you can be shown interest-based advertising inside and outside the respective social media presence. Provided you have an account with the respective social network, the interest-based advertising can be displayed on all devices on which you are logged in or have been logged in.

Please also note that we cannot track all processing operations on the social media portals. Depending on the provider, further processing operations may therefore be carried out by the operators of the social media portals. For details, please refer to the terms of use and privacy policies of the respective social media portals.

Legal basis

Our social media presences are intended to ensure the most comprehensive possible presence on the Internet. This is a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO. The analysis processes initiated by the social networks may be based on different legal bases, which are to be indicated by the operators of the social networks (e.g. consent within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO).

Responsible party and assertion of rights

If you visit one of our social media sites (e.g. Facebook), we are jointly responsible with the operator of the social media platform for the data processing operations triggered during this visit. In principle, you can assert your rights (information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability and complaint) both vis-à-vis us and vis-à-vis the operator of the respective social media portal (e.g. vis-à-vis Facebook)

Please note that despite the joint responsibility with the social media portal operators, we do not have full influence on the data processing operations of the social media portals. Our options are largely determined by the corporate policy of the respective provider.

Duration of storage

The data collected directly by us via the social media presence will be deleted from our systems as soon as the purpose for storing it no longer applies, you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to store it or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies. Stored cookies remain on your terminal device until you delete them. Mandatory legal provisions - in particular retention periods - remain unaffected.

We have no influence on the storage period of your data, which is stored by the operators of social networks for their own purposes. For details on this, please contact the operators of the social networks directly (e.g. in their privacy policy, see below).
